PelviPower at NK Physio
Take control of your pelvic health, without the awkwardness
If you’ve ever felt bladder leaks, pelvic heaviness, or core weakness holding you back, you’re not alone. These are common issues, but they don’t have to be your “new normal.” At NK Physio, we’re proud to be the first clinic in Scotland to offer PelviPower: a simple, non-invasive way to train your pelvic floor while you stay fully clothed and comfortable.
What is PelviPower?
PelviPower is a non-invasive training chair designed to either strengthen or relax your pelvic floor muscles. It uses gentle magnetic impulses to activate the nerves in your pelvic region, stimulating your pelvic floor without you having to consciously “do” anything.
- Sessions last just 15–20 minutes
- Completely pain-free
- You stay fully clothed
- Each session delivers up to 25,000 muscle contractions
It’s like a deep workout for your pelvic floor, but without the sweat!
Who can PelviPower help?
PelviPower can benefit women and men of all ages, whether you’re dealing with leaks, heaviness, recovery from childbirth, or simply want to feel more supported in everyday life.
After pregnancy and childbirth, it’s normal for your pelvic floor to feel weaker, stretched, or less responsive. Many new mums notice bladder leaks when sneezing, coughing, or a feeling of heaviness in the pelvis.
PelviPower offers a gentle, non-invasive way to rebuild strength and coordination without adding strain to already tired muscles. In just 15–20 minutes, your pelvic floor can contract thousands of times, helping speed up recovery, improve bladder control, and support your core. Perfect for mums who want results without having to squeeze in long exercise routines.
Hormonal changes during menopause can reduce pelvic floor strength, blood flow, and elasticity. This often leads to bladder leaks, urgency, or changes in sexual sensation. Some women also feel a dragging or heavy sensation linked to prolapse.
PelviPower helps reactivate these deep muscles, improve circulation, and restore function. By training the pelvic floor in a comfortable, effortless way, it can help reduce bladder issues, enhance intimacy, and give back confidence during a stage of life when many women feel their bodies are changing.
Pelvic floor health isn’t just a women’s issue. For men, especially after prostate surgery, weakness in the pelvic floor can cause bladder leaks, poor bladder control, or reduced sexual function.
One concern many men don’t realise is linked to the pelvic floor is erectile dysfunction. The pelvic floor muscles play a key role in blood flow and performance during intimacy, and when they’re weak, it can impact confidence.
PelviPower provides targeted, non-invasive strengthening to help men regain continence, restore pelvic function, and support sexual health. Whether you’re recovering from surgery or simply want to improve pelvic strength and confidence, PelviPower is a discreet and effective option.
Your pelvic floor is part of your deep core system. If it’s weak, overactive, or not working properly, the body can compensate in ways that put extra strain on your spine and hips.
PelviPower strengthens these stabilising muscles, improving posture, reducing unnecessary tension, and giving better support to your lower back. Many people find that addressing the pelvic floor is the missing link in breaking the cycle of recurring back pain.
A pelvic floor that’s either too weak or too tight can affect intimacy. For some, this shows up as discomfort, pain, or reduced sensation. For others, it may feel like they’ve lost confidence in their body.
PelviPower gently re-trains the pelvic floor muscles, improving circulation, relaxation, and strength. By restoring balance, many women notice less discomfort and improved intimacy, while men may experience enhanced pelvic function too.
Bladder leaks are one of the most common pelvic health issues, affecting women and men of all ages. Whether it’s a little leak when you cough, sneeze, or run, or a constant urgency to go, it can be frustrating and impact confidence.
PelviPower delivers thousands of muscle contractions in just one session, strengthening the pelvic floor and improving bladder control. For many people, this leads to noticeable improvements in continence and quality of life within just a few weeks.

Not at all! PelviPower is completely pain-free. You’ll feel a gentle pulsing or tightening sensation as the magnetic impulses activate your pelvic floor muscles, but it’s never uncomfortable. Most people find it quite relaxing!
Your first session is all about getting comfortable with the chair and understanding how it works. We’ll chat about your goals, make sure PelviPower is right for you, and adjust the settings to suit your needs. Then, you’ll simply sit back and let the chair do the work! Whatever you’re comfortable in! There’s no need for gym wear—just avoid clothing with thick metal zips, buttons, or belts, as the technology works best without metal interference. Most people come in their everyday clothes and feel completely at ease.
You wont be able to use your phone or laptop while on the chair so why not bring a book along so you can relax.
