Physiotherapy Services

We Help You Stop Pain With Our Physiotherapy Services… And Without Injections, Painkillers Or Having To Wear A Support.

Physiotherapy / Sports Therapy plays a vital role in healing, rehabilitation and pain relief following bone, muscle, nerve, ligament and joint injuries. It consists of treatment and advice to help an individual regain or retain their health and wellbeing.

Any injury can be debilitating and have an impact upon everyday activities, sports, work and quality of life. It is essential that advice and treatment is sought at the early stages to prevent compensatory movements which can lead to secondary injuries.

Questions And Answers

If you have a condition that you are unsure if physiotherapy will help, please feel free to phone or email NK Physiotherapy. We will be more than happy to offer some advice to help you find the best appropriate treatment.

Your initial assessment can last up to 45 minutes. Firstly, we will ask you a series of questions. The purpose for these are to outline what your main concern is, how it started and the symptoms you experience.

All this information provides the Physiotherapist with a deeper understanding as to how you are affected and allows us to start clinically reasoning what the problem could be. Secondly, we move on to the objective assessment. At this stage, you may be asked to remove pieces of clothing but it is important that we will protect your dignity at all times.

We will carry out a series of tests and movements to enable us to determine where the problem could be arising and then inform you of your likely diagnosis. Once we have established the problem we will go on to discuss a tailored treatment programme to best suit you.

It is not uncommon throughout your physiotherapy session to be asked to remove pieces of clothing. To help with this we strongly recommend that you bring shorts and a vest top. This will enable us to maintain your dignity and make you feel comfortable throughout the assessment.

More often than not individuals require more than one session of physiotherapy to allow appropriate and effective treatment. From initial assessment, a plan of action is developed and we will guide you through each rehabilitation stage. We strive to provide an effective personalised course of treatment however if you wish not to continue that is not a problem but your condition may take longer to resolve.
