Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave therapy is a new and innovative treatment for tendon injuries that is gaining in popularity. This type of therapy uses sound waves to help the body heal injured tissue.

Shockwave therapy has been shown to be an effective treatment for many types of tendon injuries, including Achilles tendinitis, tennis elbow, and plantar fasciitis. It has been shown to stimulate blood flow, increase collagen production, and break down scar tissue in the affected area, leading to an improved range of motion and decreased pain.

Shockwave therapy can lead to faster recovery from tendon injuries compared to traditional rehabilitation methods alone. It can also improve the effectiveness of physical therapy and other forms of treatment for tendinitis. Shockwave therapy can also help with chronic or stubborn cases of tendon injury that have not responded well to other forms of treatment.

If you are experiencing pain or limited mobility due to a tendon injury, talk to your physiotherapist about the possibility of incorporating shockwave therapy into your rehabilitation plan.
